THE HIDDEN BARRIER

Retained Primitive Reflexes Are Holding Kids Back

Primitive reflexes are automatic movement patterns we’re all born with. These reflexes should become integrated—or go dormant—by around 12 months of age, making room for more mature, voluntary movements to develop.

Balance & coordination
Focus & learning
Emotional regulation
Body awareness & social skills

By addressing these reflexes through play, you help children build the skills they missed — and have fun doing it.

THE HIDDEN BARRIER

If you work with developing children,
this is for you

The 6-month program is designed for any service provider in a pediatric setting — and you don’t have to be an OT to benefit.

BY THE END, YOU’LL BE ABLE TO

Practice like a reflex integration specialist.

Certification isn’t a certificate on the wall — it’s a set of capabilities you’ll carry into every session.

Assess with confidence
Run structured assessments across motor, sensory, emotional, and academic domains.
Read reflex patterns
Interpret how each reflex shapes regulation, handwriting, posture, vision, and learning.
Build full treatment plans
Create multi-week programs that are measurable, trackable, and tailored to each child.
Apply the full framework
Use standardized methods from assessment to progression for consistent, high-quality care.
Adapt to complex cases
Confidently serve children with autism, ADHD, SPD, motor delays, trauma, and CP.
Document outcomes
Use RITP progress charts and scoring to show change — for reimbursement and buy-in.
Communicate clearly
Explain neurological foundations so parents, teachers, and admins get it quickly.
Collaborate with schools
Integrate RITP into IEPs, classroom strategies, and interdisciplinary care plans.
Sequence strategically
Know which reflexes to address first, how to combine them, and when to progress.
Boost engagement
Run sessions that are fun, predictable, and easy for caregivers to continue at home.
Build specialist identity
Stand out with a recognized certification — and take on the cases others avoid.
Work with less stress
End the planning struggle with templates and a proven system, so you can focus on the child.

WHY STARTING NOW MATTERS

The real cost isn't tuition, it's waiting.

Development doesn’t pause while you decide. Every term you spend without the right framework is a term a child spends compensating instead of progressing.

THE CHILD
Stays stuck longer
A retained reflex left unaddressed is another season of struggling to focus, regulate, and keep up with peers — during the years that matter most.
YOUR SESSIONS
Keep getting re-planned
Every week without a repeatable system is another week rebuilding plans from scratch — and watching clients plateau while you guess at the next step.
YOUR PRACTICE
Waits on a decision
The framework won't be easier to start in six months. The caseload waiting on you now is the same one that'll still be waiting — only further behind.

You already see the children who need this. The fastest way to help them is to stop planning around the gap — and start closing it.

MEET YOUR MENTOR

Hi, I'm Kokeb 👋

Pediatric OT, author, mentor, mother, and creator of Reflex Integration Through Play.

When I discovered reflex integration, I finally found a way to create strong, consistent outcomes by addressing the root causes of a child’s challenges. Over time I built a play-based, measurable approach that didn’t just improve results — it deepened my collaboration with parents and teachers, and took the stress out of treatment planning.

Join me in the certification program to better serve the children around us.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Reflex Integration Through Play Certification program is an on-demand and live group coaching program designed to provide service providers with a thorough understanding of how and when to apply reflex integration techniques in a functional way to help support their clients’ development in clinic, school, and home settings.

The program is designed for any service provider working in a pediatric setting, including occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, physical therapists, speech and language pathologists, vision therapists, parent coaches, and more.

The courses within the 6-month program are approved for over 26 contact hours of AOTA-approved CEUs.

During the 6-month mentoring program, we offer various forms of support, starting with weekly Q&A sessions with Kokeb, online forums with other participants and RITP staff, and of course email 🙂

Experience applying the principles and techniques of RITP is critical to getting the clinical results, so we require 6-months of coaching to become fully certified.

There are two ways to take the program:

  • 3-Day Live Intensive + 6-month Coaching: cover the classroom parts live in a 3-day event then, to receive your full certification, complete the 6-month coaching session.
  • 6-month On-Demand + Coaching: Take the 5 classroom courses on your schedule (about 26 hours of material) then complete the 6-month coaching program, applying what you’ve learned in your clinical practice.

During the coaching portion, you’ll earn AOTA-approved CEUs, and meet with Kokeb and the other participants to talk about clients and treatment plans.

Yes! Our on-demand program is approved for over 26 contact hours as an AOTA certified provider.

Currently we do not offer approved CEUs for any other professional body.

Yes! The 6-month program is designed for any service provider working in a pediatric setting, including occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, physical therapists, speech and language pathologists, vision therapists, parent coaches, and more.

We have a number of OTs, PTs, SLPs, etc. learning in our program!

The 3-day Intensive program is only available to pediatric professionals. We’ve seen that parents and parent coaches need more time to absorb the material.

The best way to learn about reflex integration and RITP is to check out our free class all about Reflex Integration for Functional Skills.

Want even more information? Book a call with Kokeb to learn about how RITP Certification can fit into your career.

There are two options:

1 – We maintain a list of Featured Providers to help you find someone in your area.

2 – We have trained RITP-C practioners that can help through our RITP Parent Program (virtually). This Program guides you to understand your child’s development, identify root causes behind everyday struggles, and follow a structured treatment plan with simple, play-based activities — all from the comfort of home. Check out our RITP Parent Program Here.

The 6-month on-demand certification contains recorded coursework and live virtual Q&A sessions.

There are roughly 26 hours of on-demand video which can be distributed throughout your time in the program. Additional time varies depending on client application, typically 2 hours per week including coaching calls and client practice
